       MyLifeIsBetter

Under the patronage of HE the Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Kharbasheh, the “ Communication Partnership for  Family Health ” in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & the Higher Population Council  launched on January 28th, 2007 a healthy lifestyles campaign for the youth under the slogan “My life is better … plan, decide, commit”. The “Healthy Lifestyles for the Youth " campaign will start in February and continue until July of 2007, as one of a series of awareness campaigns designed to encourage family planning within the context of life planning.

The main goal is to promote the importance of early planning for the future by the youth, which includes birth spacing and small family size, as well as encouraging couples who have one child to use modern family planning methods. This campaign also aims at promoting birth spacing for a period of at least three years, and achieving equity between male and female births.

Healthy Lifestyles for the Youth campaign will present family planning as an integral part of planning for the future of unmarried youth or newlyweds or those who are about to be married.
In order for its messages to reach its target audience… the youth, this campaign will use various communication channels such as the Jordanian television, radio, daily and weekly newspaper ads , as well as the web  portal Sehetna.com and print materials and outdoor advertisements .

This campaign is part of the “Communication Partnership for Family Health” ongoing efforts to improve the health of the Jordanian citizens and sustain such improvements through enhanced self efficacy of individuals, families, communities and institutions.
